Her children arise up, and call her blessed

Sixty wonderful years ago today, my dear mother was born.

The world is a better place because of it.

I love her energetic spirit.
Slick Rock, Utah 2005

They way she leads and guides her children, always encouraging us.
Captaining the "Banana Peel". Colorado River through Grand Canyon, 2003

She doesn't let circumstances hold her back and keep her from living life to the fullest.
Trekking in Patagonia with a bad knee, 2008. It got replaced less than a year later and she is still going.

She never stops doing what she loves...
Rock Climbing in the Tetons, 2010. Mom and Dad spent much of their dating days climbing in the Tetons. Dad says that Mom was beautiful to watch climbing because she made it look like a dance.

...and now she brings the family along!
Middle Teton, 2010

No matter what her age, she always is young at heart.
Wenatchee River, WA, 2007.

She loves Dad and together they are a great team. They have been my greatest examples of how to create a happy marriage and life together. What a blessing they are to me!
Our wedding, 2009

She serves and serves and serves those around her. When Charlie was born early she got another plane ticket and stayed through the NICU stay and for weeks afterward. She got up with him at night, hauled our laundry through the snow to wash it at the laundromat, cooked, and cleaned. Most importantly she helped me adjust to this new life of being a mother and gave me hugs when I needed them.
With Charlie, January 2011.

Thank you Mom for who you are and they way you live your life. I am blessed to be your daughter.

Happy Birthday!
