All Together

Liz, Keith, and I all got a bonus trip to Washington this President's Day weekend. We don't usually get a trip home in the middle of the semester but it was a special occasion. JOE IS HOME!!! That's right; Joe returned from his two year church mission in Eastern Russia and the whole family was together again. Here are the siblings trying on his big, warm, Russian hats. I am not really that short, but Alex is really that tall.

Joe went to Korea multiple times to renew his Russian visa. On those trips he fell in love with Korean food and Korea in general. Saturday night we all went our to a little Korean restaurant that Liz loves (she served her mission in Korea). Joe and Liz ordered for us and we just ate and ate. This was my first real introduction to Korean food. It was one of those times when you just eat it even if you have no clue what it is. I was just glad that Liz told me that it was socially acceptable to pull the eyes of my shrimp before I ate it.

When the whole family gets together it is time for a family picture. We had some taken in one of the pastures and a drizzly winter morning. The guys went outside to help situate the photography equipment and Keith found a tree frog. He brought it up the the house so I could see it. The sisters and I stayed inside while the set-up was taking place. We didn't want our hair to frizz. We ran out at the last minute and hid under umbrellas and jackets until she snapped the picture.
This was also the first time that Joe and Keith had first met each other. It was a great trip. It was so great to have everyone together again.

P.S. Thanks Darren for the pictures!

Hooray! I'm glad you had so much fun with your family. I love the hats. I hope you wear yours to campus on especially cold, snowy days.
