A Visit from Granny B

Charlie loves resting his feet on the stroller bar.
Granny B (Keith's mom) came for a short visit on her way home from accompanying Shawn (Keith's brother) to Philadelphia where he is starting his teaching job with Teach for America. Her visit was short but sweet and we loved having her here! We had just enough time for the Raleigh/Merrill highlights. Like a walk around the lake...
Charlie enjoys a raspberry honey stick in a color-filled market.
...and a trip to the state farmer's market. It was sooooo hot and humid! We were dripping the entire time but that didn't dampen our enjoyment of the sights, smells, and tastes of the market in early summer.

One of the perks of apartment living is that we get to go swimming on hot, hot days. Charlie loved playing with Granny B!

The morning before Granny B left we took a trip to our favorite park. We spent the morning flinging, digging, and dumping sand, walking over bridges, going down slides, walking up and down (and up and down) stairs, and generally having a grand time before saying goodbye.
Thanks Granny for the visit!
